The AWS Ltd Wireless Telemetry Load Link is a strain gauged link with an inbuilt battery powered wireless transceiver communicating with our AWS Wireless Telemetry Load Measurement System. With a simple to change extra-long life battery, and a large range of load capacities, it is ideal for applications in systems where running cables to a load link is not possible.

What is a Load Cell / Load Link?

A load cell, also known as a load link, is a device used to measure weight using a strain gauge or spring setup to convert directional force into an electrical signal to be read by a display. They're a commonly used method for weight measurement in a variety of industries, including harbours, factories, cranes and calibration laboratories.

In a strain gauged setup, applied force will cause a slight deformation within the elastic body of the load cell. The strain gauges within this body will measure this deformation, converting it into an electrical resistance change, which is measured using a Wheatstone bridge circuit. This circuit outputs an electrical signal for interpretation by a load display, allowing for reliable weight measurements.
