The
TSC 5L5 Transducer Display provides a complete instrument for
the display and powering of TSC’s and other manufacturer’s strain
gauge torque transducers’. It has Peak and First peak selectable
operations. The first peak trigger level and reset time are settable.
Max, min average and filter response are additional facilities and are
programmable via front panel buttons. In addition it has 5 limit
detector channels enabling multi levels of low, Pass and High limits to
be set. These limits are selectable locally by a manual switch or
remotely by micro switches and will control external processes. The
lower limit outputs a 24 volt DC supply to energize solenoids when the
torque signal is below the low limit. The high limit has make and break,
volt free relay contacts. The limits can be latched and reset locally or
remotely. For remote indication of limit state, logic signals are
provided which are capable of driving low power L.E.D’s. A special
facility for control of a solenoid for Go, No-go process control using
an on board 24 Volt, 200mAmp(max) DC power supply sends a 0.5 second
pulse for solenoid operation when the lower limit but not the upper
limit is exceeded after a 0.5 second dwell period. The applied force
direction to the transducer, is sensed and displayed by the CW/CCW L.E.D
indicators (clockwise and anticlockwise). The TSC5L5 also provides the
amplified interface for analog to digital converter input for Computers
or to drive X Y - T plotters. It has RS 232 and option for RS485 output.
The TSC5L5 is mains powered, selectable for the supply voltage required. |
