New Rotary Torque Transducers
The TSC series of New Rotary Torque Transducers are non-contact strain gauge devices with the addition of integral speed or angle sensors. The transducer is standalone and requires only 12V dc. It has on board power regulators, amplifiers and signal conditioning to output high level signals. Novel power and signal transmission means no wearing part other than bearings. Torque signal output is an equivalent analogue voltage. Angle output is a pulse for every degree of rotation or speed output is a pulse for every 6 degrees of shaft rotation. Low inertia parts and non-contact measurements enables the TSC torque transducer to operate to high speeds and sensitivity. This technology allows for a wide range of torque capabilities. Signal processing carried out within the transducer allows for connection cables in excess of 25 metres if required. Mounting of the transducer is by base, flange or in-line between suitable couplings. The advanced technology of the TSC torque transducer reduces maintenance requirements. This feature is especially useful in long operational and arduous conditions.
