New Pulley Rotary Torque Transducers
The AWS/TSC series of New Pulley Rotary Torque Transducers are non-contact strain gauge devices with the addition of integral speed or angle sensors. They have been designed to replace standard sheaved pullies on motor driven systems for Torque monitoring and control of drive and process systems. The transducer design is insentive to belt tension loads. The transducer is standalone and requires only 15V dc. It has on board power regulators, amplifiers and signal conditioning to output high level signals. Novel power and signal transmission means no wearing part other than bearings. Torque signal output is an equivalent analogue voltage. Angle output is a pulse for every degree of rotation or for speed, output is a pulse for every 6 degrees of shaft rotation. Non-contact measurements enables the AWS/TSC torque transducer to operate to high speeds and sensitivity. This technology allows for a wide range of torque capabilities. Signal processing carried out within the transducer allows for connection cables in excess of 25 metres if required. The advanced technology of the AWS/TSC torque transducer reduces maintenance requirements. This feature is especially useful in long operational and arduous conditions.
